HR & Payroll

Workforce management is the other back office category we're adding alongside accounting, and it's the strongest showing of native agent access we've found on the whole site: all three vendors here have shipped their own first party MCP server. What separates them is what those servers are actually allowed to do, and whether there's a program worth joining behind each one.

We're in the process of applying to Deel's and Gusto's affiliate programs. Rippling has no public affiliate program we could find, so that link is untracked. See our full disclosure.

Global payroll, EOR & contractor management: from $49/mo per contractor · deel.com

A global payroll, Employer of Record, and contractor management platform for companies hiring international or distributed workforces, handling cross border payroll, tax compliance, benefits, and legal employment in 150+ countries without a local entity.

Agentic angle: Deel runs an official, hosted MCP server documented at developer.deel.com/mcp with three scope tiers: organization level, worker level, and public reference data, including genuine write actions like creating time off requests. It's presented as production ready, with real troubleshooting docs for OAuth and timeout issues rather than a marketing only announcement. Verified against vendor documentation, 24 Sept 2026.

02Gusto
High: native MCP server Affiliate program

US payroll, benefits & HR: from $6/mo per person + base fee · gusto.com

A payroll, benefits, and HR platform built for US small and mid sized businesses, automating payroll runs, tax filings, and benefits administration, with basic HR tools layered on top. Domestic US only, unlike Deel's or Rippling's global reach.

Agentic angle: Gusto runs an official, hosted MCP product that supports genuine write actions, running payroll, onboarding employees, logging time, with every write requiring explicit confirmation before it executes. Worth flagging: Gusto also has a separate "Dev Assistant MCP," explicitly labeled beta, which is a coding assistant tool for searching API docs, not a data access product; don't confuse the two. The live data MCP described here is the real one. Verified against vendor documentation, 24 Sept 2026.

Unified HR, IT & finance platform: custom / quote based pricing · rippling.com

A unified workforce management platform combining HR and payroll, IT device and identity management, and finance such as corporate cards, expense, and bill pay around a single employee record, aimed at SMB to mid market companies. The IT and device management layer bundled with payroll and HR is the main differentiator from Deel or Gusto.

Agentic angle: Rippling's developer portal documents a native "Rippling MCP," described in Rippling's own materials as letting external AI tools answer questions and take action using your permissions. We couldn't fully render the scopes and permissions table ourselves on the day we checked (the docs site is JS rendered and blocked our automated fetch), so treat the exact tool list as unverified pending a manual check, though the page's existence and a third party directory quoting the official docs verbatim both point to it being real rather than announced only. Checked 24 Sept 2026.
